Actually, we could be looking at two manifestations of global preparations for impending hard times. If my crystal ball isn't too cracked I expect we'll see major shift toward authoritarian governments worldwide over the next ten years. It's interesting that the main component of both Bush's and Chavez' power base is oil. Chavez has it, Bush wants it.
