The numbers don't leave you that luxury. However, hemp as a source of biomass for pyrolysis has some very interesting properties, lot least of which are its growth rate and the ability to grow pretty much anywhere. I don't know much yet about the net energy of biomass pyrolysis, but if we're going to give ethanol any thought whatsoever, hemp ought to be on the list of research topics.
