Google is following standard business practice in China. The Chinese censorship and limited access to information for its citizens is repugnant, I agree.Since when is it the job of companies to shape political policy? It isn't. In fact, limited access to the Web via Google is better than no access whatsoever. The Chinese will evolve and democratize over time. Google entering the Chinese market is one step in that direction.
Shaping political policy is the proper purview of our State Department, not companies. But our Administration is kinda busy now, fighting wars, and implementing censorship at home.
