These laws are old and outdated. I doubt if any significant percentage of Americans, conservative or liberal, would support them today. They are rarely enforced and usually only by idiots like Sheriff Smith.
If you believe these laws are a recent product of the looming evil "Christian Taliban" then maybe you are not as enlightened as you think.
