As you stated, it is not surprising at all that the confirmations went through. The Senate is indeed dominated by Republicans. It is so because the people of this country elected them.I do find your rationale interesting; that if someone possesses conservative views, they are considered a "Bush-Lemming" and are therefore not capable of "doing the right (i.e., correct) thing." But if one possesses so-called progressive or liberal views, it is because they are unencumbered, free-thinking individuals not likely to fall for the Democratic party line.
What makes your political views any more *correct* than the views of the "Neocon-wingnuts" you so love to paint with your broad progressive brush?
