When I was a much younger man I went to Oscar Wastyn's in Chicago to
buy some Campy 'Super Leggara' pedals for my Raliegh Pro.Oscar
puts them on the counterand asks why I wanted them.I quickly respond
"because they're lighter"he lets out a hearty laugh and says
"won't make any difference, in bicycle racing the rider is 90% of the
event.If you change the bike by a factor of 10 or 20 you haven't changed anything."Could have sold them to me but taught me something
instead.I've been doing bussiness with him since 1970.His grandfather
started the Paramount line at Schwinn.
