I'm sure that Bono knows Bush's support for such initiatives is self-serving. After all, what praiseworthy legacy can dubya point to other than this one? Nothing, nada, zilch. Bono was pushing these programs long before Uncurious George got involved.Here's another clue: Those who are passionate about humanitarian causes are rarely concerned about the politics of those who fund the programs. So I wouldn't expect Bono to look a gift horse in the mouth or judge the motivations of a "cattleman" who is all hat.
Smirk's humanitarian agenda is what it is. Believe whatever you like, but that on-camera blooper in Haiti tells the real story, and there's no coming back from that unscripted moment.
