Sorry, but the tin-foil hat crowd haven't been able to field a dog that'll hunt or as we say in Texas, cattle to go with their Stetsons. Until they can sponsor candidates capable of grabbing the public's attention during the primary season, they might as well be wearing poodle-hats.
If you don't like the lock that the two major Parties have on the election process, you need to get public support to revamp the process. Nothing else will change the two Party tradition.
One more clue, Teresa: The corporate elite's candidate lost. You may not have gotten the memo, but that dude's name was Mitt.
While Obama had corporate donors, they paled in comparison to Romney's. Most of Obama's campaign support came from smaller donations by individual contributors.
Billionaires and corporate supported backers funneled millions of dollars into the Romney campaign, not to mention the many more millions contributed by wealthy donors and third party special interest groups into focused advertising with anti-Obama hate messages that were long on hate and short on facts.
My wife and I were small donors when compared to the corporate elite, but contributions by folks like us add up. We may be hit a little harder by income taxes given the President's proposals (yes, we're in that percentage), but it's for the good of the country. We're willing to pay a bit more to build on those areas that will help our economy prosper.
