It's not just the no exception, pro-life platform, it's also the impression that the GOP has little interest in women enjoying the same rights as men. What plays into this perception of misogyny is that the GOP has been cool to dismissive of equal pay for equal work. Also, several of the Party's candidates have made outlandish and insensitive statements about what constitutes rape and how women should deal with it in recent weeks.
Yes, reproductive choice, ergo abortion rights are a factor, but not necessarily because of the base appeasing pro-life GOP platform that supports the sanctity of life without consideration of rape, incest or health of the mother.
When you get past the specious religious arguments it comes down to employment opportunity, advancement and pay equality. Even at this late date, if you have two equally positioned prospects for career advancement, one male and the other female, the male is still more likely to be chosen and get the better salary.
In a hypothetical of Mittons election, it's foreseeable that he would appoint another anal retentive old school Justice to the USSC. Given that scenario, Roe v. Wade could very well be overturned. Were that to happen gender would be a much greater factor in corporate decisions where there is competition for advancement.
Regardless of who's elected, it's unlikely that a law will ever be passed that guarantees absolute job equality across the board, but there is one contentious Supreme Court decision which could impede every woman's prospects for advancement. The application of a narrow outdated interpretation of the Constitution which precludes reproductive rights would unfairly disadvantage women in any competition for management jobs.
