The level of public education has dropped so far, you could even be an "A" student today.
As for your ridiculous "New Republicans" statement, most Goldwater Republicans were anti-Union, especially when it involves Public Servants.
A Central Washington State school district spends $19.8K/year on ediucation, and only 10% of the children can pass a simple WASL test. They are passed onto the next grade, over and over again, and some even graduate. Those who do, go to college and take a year or two of 072 Spelling and 074 Math.
In that same small town, there are 2 private schools that cost $3500/year that turn out kids who can easily pass the WA State WASL tests, who go onto college without taking high school remedial classes for a year or two.
They can educate 5 plus students for the same money and do a better job of it.
