Quite the contrary. If you do an archive search, you will find that I have called Spokane a glorified retirement center and a cow-town that so lacked decent LPs and that I travelled sometimes up to 4 states away to purchase Jazz LP collections during the 1980's.
As for living in Spokane, there are plenty of recreational activities available here as there is in Eugene, for those who dare walk outside the house. It's quiet, it's slow paced, but I'm fine with that. I love Eastern Washington.
