Bruford's solo efforts and bands seemed a little spotty to me. I kept half dozen LP's and let the rest go. Bruford/Levin makes pretty tasty combination ("Upper Extremities") but some of the "Earthworks" stuff is a bit dreary.

If you wanted to dip a toe into his name brand, find "An Introduction to Bill Bruford (Winter)" and "...(Summer)" They selected less avant-garde stuff, jazzieer. The digital sound is quite decent- the original vinyls fail to deliver the percussive nature of the music, IMO.
