Chris from Lafayette,
"Memorable" can be mean for several reasons: performer, repetoire, location, first hearing of something.
60's:
Romeros guitar quintet: Hutchinson Memorial Aud., Ponca City, Oklahoma
70's:
"Bach Organ Marathon"- The complete organ music (18 Hrs), Wolf Trap, Washington, DC
Igor Kipnis > Bach: Goldberg Variations, Princeton, N.J.
Gustav Leonhardt: Frescoabldi, Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, England
Sviatoslav Richter> Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Prokofiev, QE Hall, London
Janet Baker/George Malcolm: Baroque arias > Wigmore Hall, London
Blandine Verlet: Couperin, Rameau, D'Angelbert : Eglise de la Trinité, Paris
Mozart> Ausführung auf den Serail > Vienna State Opera, Vienna
80's:
Micheal Tilson Thomas > LSO : Siegfried Idyll and Mahler's 5th, Pasadena Civic Auditorium. This was the most memorable symphonic concert I've ever attended.
Julliard quartet: including. Beethoven St. Qu. Op. 130/133 (Grosse Fuge), Julliard Theater, N.Y.
90's:
Alfred Brendel > Complete Schubert Sonatas (4 concerts)
Mozart: Zauberflöte: L.A. Opera, Dorothy Chandler, Los Angeles
Christopher Hogwood > CPE Bach, Magnano, Italy (clavicohord)
00's:
Beethoven > Fidelio > L.A. Opera
10's:
Cameron Carpenter: Chopin, Bach, Bizet (organ) Commonwealth Episcopal Church
Cheers,
Bambi B
