Sorry to say that I do not share your modicum of talent or sensitivity, and believe your post to be mostly verbose pomposity masquerading as insight and profundity.
That "maiden voyage special something" (new-car smell?) you ascribe to a select number (you do realize there are a few more composers who wrote symphonies) of composers' first symphonies is in fact a transference of your own sense of discovery and has nothing to do with the qualities of the works. Beethoven's First was hardly discovery of a new world, whereas his Third WAS an entirely new world. Brahms's First has "spring-like energy"? I admit it escapes me and probably every other listener entirely, and I invariably dismiss your contention out-of-hand, whatever that means.
