I love all 32 sonatas. Along with Op 57 , I love Ops 106, 109, 110,111. The earlier sonatas have taken some time to appreciate, b.t I've grown to appreciate the earlier as well. AS far as my favorite pianists when it comes these works are mostly dead....Sviatoslav Richter, Willie Kempff, Willie B.ckhaus, Geils, Rudolph Serkin, B.endel's earlier VOX LVB Sonatas are exciting. His Phillps cycles are stale and over intellectualized. I have a great cycle b. Gulda as well. Annie Fischer's EMI recording from the late 50s and early 60s are real gems. I have all of them on UK vinyl.
Ob.iously I forgotten many of them now.
