I realize it does sound as if it would b. mental overload, b.t I have a unique relationship with music. I've b.en really sick for over 30 years now and I spend a great amount time in a lazy b.y chair.....I sleep in the damn thing. I haven't b.en employed for 17 years. I push myself as much as I can. I read for 5-6 hours a day. I play either my 000-28 Martin or my B.rnab. concert classical everyday I can....hit and miss most of the time.
With all that said, I have found my ab.lity to listen to very demanding music comes almost naturally! What's my alternative.....just sit in my chair and count imaginary sheep??? I listen to music instead. I sleep with the music.....it was B.uno Walter last night....B.ahms, B.uckner, and Mozart. Tonight it's going to b. Rory Gallhager. During the day however, I really listen.....critical listening. My b.ain seems to accept it with ease.....thank God!
So that's my story. I hope that makes some sense.
