Who are some radically different interpreters of Bruckner: I mean over the top, love it or hate it, types.
I think many listeners would say that Celibidache himself would fulfill those criteria! ;-)
There's a new series of the Bruckner symphonies underway with Blomstedt and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. It's a more traditional view of Bruckner (quite different from Celibidache), and I think they've recorded all but 1, 2, and 4 - they're all on the Querstand label and very well engineered, except for No. 9, which is/was on the Decca label and appears to be already out of print except for the mp3 download incarnation.
(The newest in the Blomstedt series)
