Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

No Choir School - we do a sung evensong about ten times a year

Sometimes to the 1662 prayer-book.

And sung Eucharist almost every Sunday (except for January when we take a break for Summer holidays.) At which the choir sings the hymns in harmony, chants the psalm, and we have our own set of sung responses, gloria, sanctus, benedictus and etc. Anthems during the Eucharist after the communicant choristers have had a nibble and a sip.

I was paid when I was a boy chorister in Newcastle, and the training and transport to the cathedral was also free. The weddings were quite good value esp. during school holidays when most of the boys were away. Teacher's weddings?! Mum was on a war-widow's pension, five kids.
