Winter Dreams, FWIW is after many years one of the few

Tchaikovsky symphonies that I still find rewarding. I keep going back to Michael Tilson Thomas's LP recording on DG. It is lively and more dance like I think. To me it is more reminicent of his ballet music. No knock on Markevitch's though, it is excellent (I've enjoyed all of his LP's).
