I have nearly all “must have†Bruckner recordings mentioned in your post.
The performance of Eight by Boulez/VPO was a big surprise to me, this conductor is not at all associated with the music of Bruckner but his Eight is one of the best in my collection, I believe that DG early on offered it in SACD but mine is a CD version, I recommend this performance to anyone interested in the Eight.
As for Jesus Lopez-Cobos Bruckners, I have a few, but these are recorded in Telarc’s typical bone dry acoustics, totally unfit for the music of this composer.
