There are many good Bruckner readings and quite a few great ones.
Towering above all others, and perhaps the greatest example of the conductor's art on record, is Furtwaengler's 1944 BPO 9th. The DGG "Original Masters" pressing is the clearest I've found.
The Eighth is best served IMHO by Karajan's 1958 BPO recording, in excellent early stereo.
The Seventh exists in Rosbaud's visionary, if poorly played and recorded, version on Vox. Walter is also great here.
The Sixth is very well served by the referenced Klemperer/Philharmonia.
I like Karajan's BPO Fifth from the early 1960's, but there are other very fine versions.
The "Romantic" is a contest between Klemperer/Philharmonia and Walter/CSO.
I have no recommendations for the early works.
