The order of my choices shouldn't be taken too literally: my favorites will vary as, as has been said before, no one version communicates all that this wonderful music has to offer.

I just recently purchased the Brandis set so I only listed the one (#12) that I've listened to several times and am sure is one of the "great" ones. I like the rest though and with further listening I'm sure I'll add others.

Yes, I forgot the Julliard (with Carlyss again) on #14 (haven't heard #12&13). Also, for #15, the Melos.
