this recording and yes if it was on Mo-Fi SACD for $25.00 instead of Audio Fidelity SACD for $15.95 I would have bought it but not on any other format than SACD. Yes this is on my SACD want list as well as his recording made in 1985 by Cafe which includes his killer Channel One suite. I am praying someone releases this one on SACD!You did mention some great Jazz drummers, but Buddy Rich is the best and yes he does actually have that title! What is your problem with Buddy Rich? Have you heard any of his recordings or listened to him live?
Also would like other Century Direct to Disc titles on SACD as well as ones from Sheffield Lab and Crystal Clear.Right now I am listening to the world's greatest Bass player, Ray Brown on Telarc SACD, I guess you would argue that point as well.
I am fully behind Audio Fidelity's helping to bring the price of SACDs down. Did you know the Universal SACDs are as low or lower than their CD versions? Looks like it's working?
Go ahead and pay more of you want, instead of paying $27.99 for XRCDs I would much rather get better sound and pay only $12.99 - $17.99 for SACDs.
It's your money do with it what you will. BUT NEVER DEGRADE EXCELLENT MUSICIANS, THIS IS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. AND TOTALLY UNFAIR!
