As Steve H. has written on his site or in a PF interwiew, I forget which, the majors are not falling over themselves to license out the 'good stuff' to third parties for hi-rez disc release.If these guys *could* get licenses for blue-chip material, their pricing would probably go up a fair bit, since the upfront cost of those royalty guarantees would be far higher. (Both in terms of $-per-unit and also a much larger number of units guaranteed.)
This is not to say that JVC couldnt lower their XRCD pricing. But if they sell well.....
