Unloved and great musicians ...

Yes, Arnett Cobb was one of the better tenor players who ever put
tongue to reed ... And now some love for others who are unjustly
neglected:

There's Moon Mullican - great honky tonk/country piano player
who influenced a lot of folks (Jerry Lee Lewis for one) and successfully made the transition to rock. He's lots of fun.

George Barnes - monster guitar player on a par with Les Paul, C. Atkins and M. Travis but is a virtual unknown.

Snooky Young - been called the best lead trumpet in history of jazz.
Still alive & living in LA, but dont think he plays much. I also
understand he is badly deaf, which tends to hinder his playing. If
you have a chance to hear him play, go hear him. He was - and
hopefully still is - marvelous.
