Re: QUAD 989 dust covers

Wow I'm glad that its just not me that finds this a royal pain in the rear. I have had virtually no success in keeping the dustcovers tight or even adhered to in their flimsy frame on my USA monitors. I have repeatadly redone my covers as Mark has described only to have them sag or peel away. I have used some alternative tape by 3M and the last time I used a light spray adhesive 3M77 on the frames for a stronger bond...this "seems" to be working. To be sure this is a far too regular maintenance item for the quads. Maybe the new 9 series is better. I think the frame material and/or the mechanisim to clip the frames on could be so much better to eliminate this problem.

I'd love to find the source or product number for the 3M doublefaced polyurthene tape that is said to be used for rebuilding of the ESL57 panels now that material may keep stuck.

Good luck with it!
