I am biamping my Tympani IV's with a homebuilt electronic crossover. I want to upgrade the passives, (posts, inductors, caps) internal to the mid/tweeter panels. The Tympani IVa crossover components seem much more atraightforward. Given that the lowfrequency cutoff of my midranges is governed by the electronic crossover, and that the tweeter is (should be?) the same, is there any reason not to emulate the Tympani IVa crossover setup for the HF cutoff of the midrange driver and the LF cutoff of the tweeter?
