I'd look for how well they've been cared for. Any damage from pets, kids, smoking? Is the frame okay (do they show signs of having been knocked over?) Have they been kept out of direct sunlight? Can they play at high volumes without rattling/buzzing? Are they stock or modded (Stock is safer. I'd consider modded speakers only if you're willing to fix a potentially poorly-done mod).I see from the archives that you've been thinking about buying MG1.6s since January 2001, which is when I bought mine.
