A 3A fuse has a cold resistance of 0.042 ohms, whereas 20 feet (=10 feet times 2) of 12 AWG wire has a resistance of 0.032 ohms. So, longer wires must be thicker.BTW, both these values are small relative to the MG1.6 nominal 4.5 ohm impedance.
