documented here and here . I concluded that the crossover points on the MG1.6 were chosen to compensate for a tweeter resonance and also to give the speaker a slightly emphasized bass/treble voicing. Completely eliminating the midrange dip did not sound good. Reducing the dip produced a more neutral midrange.
