Its it live or is it Magnepan?

Last night I was listening to Mannheim Steamroller's "Fresh Air Interludes" on digitally-recorded LP (1981).
Along with the piano, there are various nature sounds: rain (I know its not raining outside), crickets (too dry for crickets here), and birds. The latter are uncanny: when I play the record, the birds outside start chirping and its hard to distinguish the birds on the record from the birds outside! Apparently, the birds can't tell either...
