Re: output impedance (aka 'damping factor')

I don't have the proper equipment to measure the acoustic response, so I must rely on listening.

The QR tweeter does not sound like it has a resonance around the crossover point (600 Hz). I can't think of a physical mechanism that would lead to such a resonance - the QR tweeter shares the same mylar panel as the woofer. The suspension cannot be so tight as to raise the resonance frequency so high. If it were, the woofer wouldn't work.

On the QR tweeter's slight grain, I was pleasantly surprised to find the grain was caused by the stock crossover passing frequencies above 1.6KHz while attenuating the octave below that. Apparently when the ear hears the higher harmonics > 1.6KHz without the supporting lower harmonics or fundamental, it interprets the sound as grainy. The same QR tweeter with the modified crossover is not grainy at all on vinyl and good CDs. The QR tweeter is really quite good (but a bit too wide to disperse 20KHz without beaming).

I'm using NTE resistors. Their inductance may be contributing to the softness in the top octave.
