Re: output impedance (aka 'damping factor')

As I previously posted, I found the sound of the MG1.6 improved when 2.2 ohm resistors were added in series to the biwire terminals. I added separate resistors to both the woofer and tweeter sections to avoid interactions, so the results were not quite the same as using an amplifier with significant output impedence.

The effects were not subtle - the midrange went from recessed to apparent. Vocal reproduction seems to be better, but the sound can be slightly thick as Arbelos experienced on a different model. I'm still trying to determine which is closer to the truth.
