I'm using an Onkyo TX8511 with "4 ohm capability", There is a little switch on the back , to select 4 ohm or 8 ohm but it will not or " not recomended to run 4, 4 ohm speakers, this impedance problem of running 4 MMG's at 2 ohms is probably not a good idea. The Onkyo Guy said I could run some 8 ohm speakers with the MMG's but I don't think he really knows what he is talking about, he said try it and see what happens, so I tried it and haven't had any problems. Sometimes I wonder if anyone knows any thing, I know I don't know much, most of what I know is through trial and error,.. I think, maybe.
