I don't claim to have much speaker design expertise. However, speaker design is an art as well as a science... it involves judgement. My ears tell me that the modified crossover is more accurate on vocals, but slightly emphasized in the lower midrange and soft in the treble.The purpose of my post was to see if others have tried similar modifications and to compare notes.
