I limited my experiment to what I could do from outside the speaker. I'm happy that I can shift the -3dB points only by adding resistance. Its more of an experiment rather than a permanent change. On whether to change the woofer or tweeter -3dB points, there's a compromise between the woofer panel lobing and the tweeter running out of power-handling ability. I chose to compromise both to a smaller degree than compromising just one.
After a few more hours of listening, I'm finding the treble is very soft and the lower midrange seems emphasized. This is a much more forgiving tonal balance than the stock MG1.6. I'm trying to figure out which crossover is closer to the truth.
