I currently use a 60wpc Jolida 502a to drive my 1.6's. My room is a smaller than yours, but I've never had the amp past twelve and usually it sits around 1030...The music is silky smooth and the bass is fairly tight. Granted it is not as authoratative as the ss Bryston combo I have heard in the past, but for my needs and the better flavor of ti=ubes I have no regrets.BTW, I listen to all types of music, techno, rock, orchestrals, alternative, blues, etc. No qualms yet :-)
