Way cool!

Nelson Pass used double Dayton-Wrights at shows to demo his amplifiers back in the late 70s. Truth be told, he ended up changing the original 800A design after driving doubles.

I frequented (and later worked part time) at a shop in Atlanta called Fat Julian's Audio that profoundly steered my audio path as a teen. Introduced me to Magnepan, Audio Research, Dahlquist, Transcriptors, Sonus among other brands.

There were lots of knowledgeable regulars and that's where I met JWC. Julian eventually sold Dayton-Wright and originally used Dunlap-Clarke amps with them. The D-W rep later introduced him to Threshold and he picked up that line too starting with the 800A. The reps name? Dan D'Agostino! I met him briefly circa '76 or so.
