I have read lots of good reports about the Sanders Magtech amp. It would
certainly be worth a listen.
I recently purchased, and have become smitten with, a PS Audio Stellar
Gain Cell Dac/Preamp and a pair of Stellar M700 monoblock amplifiers.
The amps are class D and will produce 700 wpc at 4 ohms and have a high
damping factor, something which is desirable with Maggies. PS Audio is
beta testing a higher powered version of the M700, called the M1200, which
has a tubed front end and produces 1200 wpc @ 4 ohms. You may wish to
audition either one. I like mine and they run cool.
My experience with Bryston amps has not been good. While they are quite
well built and adequate to the task of driving Maggies, they sound harsh
and edgy to me. Try before you buy.
I have also looked at BAT VK3000SE and McIntosh MA352 integrateds. I
like both.
