It wasn't an attack on Wendell. He was concerned about what he saw as a personal attack on someone else. IIRC, it wasn't someone in this group.
He sent an email about the attack expressing his distress at it, and then a while later, he sent this email with a note that said "please post." I don't think he wanted to single out the individual -- just to make a general plea for civility.
Wendell is frequently distressed by online attacks on people, most of which aren't directed at Magnepan.
