It depends on the design technology of the speaker. Value, of course, is subjective. I doubt that the sales guy was making comparisons with all $10,000 speakers. Perhaps he was just talking about unspecified designs by other manufacturers that cost a lot more or maybe he meant the LRS shares DNA with larger Maggies. I don't have LRS speakers, but have heard lots of good things about them and I'd swear by the 3.7i series.
