Relative to their height, the LRS/MMG model has a wider vertical dispersion than all the other (larger) Magnepan models. This is basic physics involving the transducer line height. When you orientate the speakers vertically it does not change their dispersion characteristics at all.
Nor can stands increase the bass capability of the speakers. It's not physically possible.
The reversible jumper claim from Robert is also not possible, electrically.
