No, the stored energy is just a result of the type of transducer they area.
The mechanical equalization is just a necessary correction to flatten the response without resorting to electronic equalization.
We seem to be getting a little twisted on logical conclusions here. Remember, you and some other folks have already experienced the Condo bass setup and thought it sounded excellent, yes? So, maybe there IS something to the (basic) concept of dipole bass with conventional drivers, eh? :)
