RE: "30.7 for Condos" - Audio Connection NJ

I'm curious as to the manner in which they sound better than your 3.7 Maggies. Maybe it's just me, but I'd think it might be more useful to compare a 3.7 system utilizing one or more well integrated subs for the purpose of a real world evaluation of the overall presentation of Wendell's new demo speakers.

The demo speaker system apparently includes a dipole sub of proprietary design. I'd expect it to reach deeper than other Maggie systems. Speaking of deeper, while we're not talking wallet yet, if Wendell is comparing this to the 30.7 system, I expect we'll get there eventually.

It seems to me one should expect the demo system to compare favorably ...at least in the bass department... with a system employing DWM instead of a true subwoofer. Since the DWM doesn't actually produce lower bass, but rather more bass at greater volume, the comparison with "30.7 for Kondo" seems somewhat weighted in favor of the demo.

Full disclosure: I utilize a subwoofer and have no experience with the DWM, please correct any misimpression as it's based on my understanding of the actual purpose of the DWM. I'm not being judgmental here, ...just trying to assess what's going on from the info provided.

Cheers,
AuPh
