Having lived with both in my system for long periods I prefer the Sanders Magtech for overall musicality. The Magtech just gets out of the way of the music with excellent depth of soundstage. If comparing this amp to any other topology the Sanders sound comes closer to Class A solid state, not warm or "tubey" and not overly analytical. Excellent mids and nice balance top to bottom. Live albums and studio recordings sound equally great.
The Wyred4Sound SX1000R monoblocks are a different animal, much more analytical with a slightly forward presentation. These sound great on well recorded studio albums. Instrument placement is rock solid, clean and detailed, perhaps a tiny bit less veiled than the Magtech with plenty of headroom. If considering strengths the W4S topology has deep bass and clear extended treble. Mids are fine, just not as pronounced.
The biggest drawback of these monoblocks are their extreme analytical sound signature. Some marginally recorded live albums that are very involving through the Magtech sounded absolutely dreadful over the W4S SX1000Rs.
Like Satie mentioned below, my speaker system is Maggie based, so the Wyred4Sound topology might not be as friendly in your speaker system. That said, the manufacturer claims absolute stability into difficult loads and I haven't come across any horror stories.
Maggies pose a difficult load for some amps, but had no trouble at all with the SX1000R Class D topology, so my only caveat would be to do as much homework as possible before pulling the trigger if you decide to go with these.
Cheers,
