Welcome! Need support, you got it. Or share your ideas and experiences.

I have to say...

I've been lurking your posts...

You imagine you have been wronged, and the games you seem to be playing here are way out of proportion with that imagined wrong.

And all for what $200? You could have sold your MMGs and used that money toward a purchase of LRSs. As others have mentioned, when you bought the MMGs, you purchased a great speaker with a generous return policy. You had them 4 months and now a replacement has come out. Too bad...you're lucky you're not talking about a $12k amp. You have a simple, cheap solution... especially in audiophile terms.

Instead, you decide to beat a dead horse in hopes of what? Damaging the reputation of a man and a company? A company that has been making listeners happy for years...Or because you have people's attention here and it's your schtick?

Why do I care what you do? Because I've always wanted Magnepans since the mid 1980s when I first heard them at a NYC audio show and spoke with Jim Winey at that show. I've never had the space though.

But as I'm getting on in years and though perfectly happy with my current speaker, the LRSs seem to be a good opportunity to scratch my Magnepan itch. I'm planning on ordering soon.

But here you are trying to chop down the apple tree that feeds us. You know, if you're just jonesing for the attention, you could go over to Central and post car of the day pictures.

I'm not in charge of anything, and I'd be the first to defend your right to say what you want, but can you please not destroy something others here appreciate. Magnepan makes very little on their entry level speaker and promote it as a gateway drug to their higher models. They've done it for years. You wouldn't want them to get the impression that they are just dealing with an ungrateful public, would you?
