miniDSP has a variety of different units. Most all of them have different DAC chips. Your suggestion is not well-informed.
Analog crossovers are fine, but much too cumbersome for changing/experimentation.
The super-tweeter scheme can be disabled easily and yields a more friendly impedance load at high frequencies.....should that be an issue for the power amp.
