RE: Jumping back into the pool

Quote BDP24-What a waste---I and a lot of other Tympani owners would get our left nut for a room that size! If you have the funds available, you should consider at least the 3.7i. The LRS is that room would be like pouring a glass of water in a bath tub.

This cracks me up and is soooooo true! It will take a nice sized Maggie to fill that room correctly. Then you need CORRECT power for that nice sized Maggie. High current, lots of power or your hindering your sound with a weak amp on a big Maggie. What is your budget on this? I think you need to back into this from your budget. Although this is just like when I went to buy a tractor.. Always buy the next size up while you are the dealership. Because if not, you will waste money in the long run because you will upgrade to that model eventually anyway. I bought the size I felt was right for the budget, year later i sold it and bought the next size up like I was contemplating(Wasted $5K). We will always want bigger, faster , stronger, better sounding etc....

I wish you luck on this slippery slope.... but when its all said and done and you are pushing your Magnepans correctly in that large room, it is a beautiful thing and you will be very pleased
