Jumping back into the pool

For the last several years I have been listening via headphones. Now my
living situation has changed and I think I am ready to purchase a speaker-
based sound system again.

I have a rather large room - about 20'x30'x8' - with carpet and plenty of
overstuffed furniture. The room is open to one side at one end and to
the other side on the other end. There are plenty of reflective and
absorbtive surfaces.

I am strong considering the new Maggie LRS model.

I am strongly considering a Rogue Audio Pharaoh integrated amp: 185W/350w
at 8/4 ohms, tubed preamp stage (12au7s) and a Hypex class D amplifier
stage. I beleive this amp will be sufficient to drive the Maggies.

I am also considering a Rogue Audio Sphinx, similar construction but
only 100w/200w at 8/4 ohms. This amp is a good bit cheaper.

I have a Bryston BCD-1 cd player which will be my primary source
component, and I will probably purchase interconnects and speaker wire
from Anticables.

My questions are these: will the LRSs be big enough for my room? Will
the Rogue Sphinx be adequate to power the LRSs, or do I need the more
powerful Pharaoh amp? And what do you think of Anticables?

Thank you in advance for your input.
