Not necessarily, as not all A/B amps are alike. In this instance, one topology isn't clearly superior to the other, just different (kinda like Joe Pesci's Froggy speech in the last Lethal Weapon movie).

Your point about A/B energy consumption is generally true, but the Magtech has thermal dissipating transistors that allow Sander's amps to run cool in idle. IOW, it can be left on 24/7/365 without high energy consumption. In fact, Roger recommends it.

Of coarse, you're absolutely right that Class D uses less energy and due to the efficient topology are much lighter in weight, which may be a deal breaker for some folks.
